See the replacement article that follows.The 3408 and the 3412 replacement water pumps either new or remanufactured use a tapered roller bearing that is referenced in Engine News, SEBD9221, "Jacket Water Pumps Now Include New Tapered Roller Bearings".Lubrication issues require that the 117-9712 Drive Idler Shaft must be used with the following pump groups:
