Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine.To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key.Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.
Shut off the engine.
Relieve the tension on the belts for the fan.

Use a 2S-9528 Tool in order to reverse the fan blades.

Insert the 2S-9528 Tool into access hole (1). Access hole (1) is located on the left side of the radiator guard. Note: The tool will engage the outside edge of a single fan blade.
Rotate the fan so that the tool engages the outside edge of a single fan blade.

When the fan blades are in position D, the fan blades will push air through the radiator.

When the fan blades are in position E, the fan blades will pull air through the radiator.
Push in on the blade in order to disengage the lock for the fan blade. Then rotate the blade to the desired position. When the blade reaches the correct position, the blade will pop out. When the blade pops out, the blade is locked into position. Note: Only two positions of the fan blade are possible. The two positions for the fan blade are PUSH and PULL. The PUSH position is the normal operating position for the fan blades.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all the fan blades have been turned.
Remove the 2S-9528 Reversing Tool for the Fan from the access hole (1).
Apply tension to the fan drive belts. Note: With this fan system, the fan will always rotate in the same direction. Only the direction of the fan blades are reversed.
