Machines With Bolt Loosening Prior To Interference Fit
Machines experiencing bolt loosening that are not equipped with an interference fit differential carrier are not required to purchase a new differential carrier.
These machines can be modified by using 24 4E-5831 Bolts and 24 4E-5685 Spacers, which replace the former 24 2A-1538 Bolts and 24 5P-8248 Washers.
The new 4E-5831 Bolts (high strength) are longer than the factory installed 2A-1538 Bolts, and come with pre-applied thread lock. The 4E-5831 Bolts should be tightened to a torque of 230 40 N m (170 30 lb ft), and turned an additional 120° 10°.
