Remove Steering Neutralizer Valve
Cab and platform are shown removed for photo purposes only. Removal of the left side neutralizer valve is shown.
Release the pressure from the hydraulic system before any lines are removed or disconnected.
1. Disconnect tube assemblies (2) and (3) from the valve.2. Disconnect hose assembly (1).3. Remove three bolts (4) and washers. Remove steering neutralizer valve (5).Install Steering Neutralizer Valve
1. Install steering neutralizer valve (4) on the rear loader frame.2. Connect tube assemblies (2) and (3) to the valve.3. Connect hose assembly (1).4. Check the adjustment of striker (5). See NEUTRALIZER VALVES in 824, 825 AND 826 STEERING SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS, Form No. SENR7836.Disassemble Steering Neutralizer Valves
start by:a) remove steering neutralizer valves 1. Remove boot (1) from the valve group.2. Remove plug (5) and O-ring seal.3. Remove spring (4), bolt (3), lockwasher and washer from valve body (2). 4. Remove plug assembly (7) and O-ring seal. Remove spring (8) and ball (6). 5. Remove lip seal (9) from the valve body.Assemble Steering Neutralizer Valves
1. Use tooling (A) to install the lip seal in the valve body as shown. Put a small amount of clean SAE 10 oil on the lip of the seal. 2. Install ball (1) and spring (4) in valve body (2).3. Check the O-ring seal on the plugs for wear or damage. If necessary, make a replacement.4. Install plug (3) and O-ring seal in the valve body. 5. Put clean SAE 10 oil on the bolt. Install bolt (6), lockwasher and washer, spring (7), plug (8) and O-ring seal in the valve body.6. Install boot (5).end by:a) install steering neutralizer valves
