Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (4) at the rod end. The weight of boom cylinder (4) is approximately 113 kg (249 lb).
Remove retaining bolt (1) and washer (2). Remove pin assembly (3) and the shims.
Lower boom cylinder (4) to a horizontal position.

Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (4) at the head end. Disconnect hose assemblies (5) from boom cylinder (4).
Remove retaining bolt (6) and washer (8). Remove pin assembly (7).
Remove boom cylinder (4).

Disconnect tube assemblies (10) and (11) from valve assembly (9). Disconnect clamps (13) and remove valve assembly (9). Disconnect clamps (14) from boom cylinder (4). Remove tube assemblies (10) and (12) from boom cylinder (4). Installation Procedure

Position valve assembly (9) onto boom cylinder (4). Tighten clamps (13).
Connect tube assembly (10) to valve assembly (9) and to the head end of boom cylinder (4). Tighten both ends of tube assembly (10) to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft).
Connect tube assembly (11) to valve assembly (9). Tighten tube assembly (11) to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft). Install clamp (14) for tube assembly (11). Tighten clamp (14) to a torque of 32 6 N m (24 4 lb ft).
Connect tube assembly (12) to boom cylinder (4). Tighten tube assembly (12) to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft). Install clamp (14) for tube assembly (12). Tighten clamp (14) to a torque of 32 6 N m (24 4 lb ft).

Attach a suitable lifting device to both ends of boom cylinder (4). Raise boom cylinder (4) to a horizontal position and position boom cylinder (4) onto the chassis. The weight of boom cylinder (4) is approximately 113 kg (249 lb).
Apply Tooling (B) to pin assembly (7). Install pin assembly (7). Install washer (8) and bolt (6).
Connect hose assemblies (5).

Raise boom cylinder (4) and extend the rod in order to position the cylinder onto the boom.
