If the test for the gauge are good, make a replacement of the sender. There are more failures of the senders than of the gauges.
Figure 25. Warning Gauges Circuit.Heater
The heater circuit has two separate fans. Each fan has two different speeds. Each fan also has its own switch so that it can be controlled separately from the other fan. In this way, the fans can give four different volumes of air.Power for the fans is sent from the 60 amp main circuit breaker, through the 30 amp circuit breaker, and through the 15 amp circuit breaker that is part of the fan circuit. The 1V6652 Switches that control the fans, are single-pole, double-throw (SPDT). In the low speed position of a fan switch, current is sent through a 2G413 Resistor to the fan motor. In the high speed position of the switch, current is sent directly to the fan motor.
Figure 26. Heater Circuit.Heater and Air Conditioner Circuit (Attachment)
The circuit for the heater and air conditioner is similar to the circuit for just the heater. There are two double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) 1V5563 Switches that control the fans and the air conditioner instead of the SPDT switches. When either switch is put in either the high or low position, current is also sent to the thermostat for the air conditioner. If the thermostat switch is closed (the cab temperature is higher than the thermostat setting), current is sent to the receiver dryer and to the air conditioner clutch solenoid.
Figure 27. Heater and Air Conditioner Circuit.Air Dryer (Attachment)
The attachment 2G2159 Air Dryer removes water from the compressed air system. Power for the air dryer is sent from the 60 amp main circuit breaker through the 10 amp fuse for the air dryer.
Figure 28. Air Dryer Circuit.Indicator and Alarm Test Circuit
The test circuit for the indicator lights, the low air alarm, and the coolant flow alarm has a double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) 9D4071 Test Switch. One contact has current that is sent to the low air alarm when the switch is pushed. Another contact is at ground and makes a ground for the indicator lights and coolant flow alarm so that they turn on when the test switch is pushed.

Several silicon diodes are used in the 768C & 769C electrical system. The purpose of a diode is to permit the flow of current in one direction but not in the other direction. Diodes are shown on schematics as: The shape of the diode symbol
