(1) Alarm. (2) Alarm Silence Switch.The Alarm provides an audible indication to the operator of abnormal engine operation. The Alarm (1) connects to an output of the Main Display Module. The SOUNDING of the Alarm (1) tells the operator that an abnormal engine condition exists.The operator can use the Alarm Silence Switch (2) to turn off the Alarm (1) once the alarm has sounded. Activating the Alarm Silence Switch (2) will silence the Alarm (1) for five minutes. After the five minute period, if the condition that initiated the alarm has not been corrected, the Alarm (1) will sound again. If a new condition occurs during the five minute period, then the Alarm (1) will sound again.
