1. Vibration Damper
A. Check the vibration damper for damage.
B. Inspect the mounting bolts for damage and/or for wear.
Damage to vibration damper
Result: The vibration damper has not been damaged.
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Result: The vibration damper has been damaged.
Replace the vibration damper. Replace any damaged bolts. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual.
2. Engine Supports
A. Inspect the mounts and the brackets while you run the engine through the speed range. Look for mounts and brackets that are loose and/or broken.
Loose or broken mounts
Results: Mounts and brackets are not damaged.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Results: Mounts and brackets are damaged.
Tighten all of the mounting bolts. Install new components, if necessary.
3. Driven Equipment
Check the alignment and the balance of the driven equipment.
Alignment and balance of driven equipment
Result: Driven equipment is OK.
STOP
Result: Driven equipment is NOT OK.
Repair or replace the faulty driven equipment.
