The front window on certain forest machines is damaged in transport. The damage has been the result of the transport company using tape to secure the wipers during transport. The residue from the tape is hard to remove and in some cases solvents have been used to remove the residue. The solvents used have damaged the glass requiring the windows to be removed. Also, the windows are not glass, the windows are Lexan ®.

The wipers and arms are fit at the factory for testing and then are removed. The wipers and arms are stored in the left-hand side engine compartment. The dealer is to fit the wiper arm during the pre-delivery inspection process and ensure that the wiper arms and washer tubes are fitted and work correctly before delivering to the customer. These changes will ensure that the front window will not require replacement due to damage caused by the tape.
