Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Typical example
Install new O-rings on the flange of the element for the engine oil cooler. Install the element for the engine oil cooler.
Install nuts (4) that hold the element of engine oil cooler (2). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).
Clean the cover of the engine oil cooler and the surface of the cylinder block.
Install the gasket and engine oil cooler (2) on the cylinder block.
Install nuts (3) and bolts (5) in engine oil cooler (2). Tighten the nuts and the bolts to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).
Connect two oil hoses (7) with bolts (6) .
Install the bypass valve and plug (1), if necessary.
Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
