Information:

Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause serious injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.
Escaping fluid under pressure, even a pinhole size leak, can penetrate body tissue, causing serious injury, and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
If the hydraulic oil becomes contaminated, premature component failure could result. Contaminated hydraulic oil can also contribute to overheating. Use the following procedure to sample the oil in the hydraulic system.
Start the engine and run the engine at high idle.
Operate all of the hydraulic cylinders through a minimum of ten full cycles. This operation will allow the oil temperature to reach the normal operating temperature.
Lower the bucket and any attachments to the ground.
Install a jumper line between the auxiliary lines on the lift arms, and cycle the auxiliary flow for 1 minute.
Set the throttle position to low idle. Note: Do not operate the hydraulic controls.
Open the engine access door. Note: Remove any dirt or debris on the sampling valve that is located at the fan motor housing.

Draw a 50 mL oil sample through the scheduled oil sampling port. The level of contaminants must be less than or equal to the values in ISO 18/15. To meet this specification, the level of contaminants must be less than or equal to the values in the following table. Refer to table 1.
If the concentration of contaminants is higher than the values in table 1, flush the hydraulic system. Refer to the machine Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System - Flush and Fill" for the correct procedure.
If the concentration of contaminants continues to be higher than the values in table 1, change the hydraulic oil. Refer to the machine Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8019, " 246C, 256C, 262C, 262C2, and 272C Skid Steer Loaders", "Engine and Oil Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.
Stop the engine.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to the machine Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the correct procedure.

18     5     125000
15     15     16000    Note: The concentration of the particles by size should be monitored over a series of samples. This information can be used in order to spot abnormal wear before
