The conveyor motor is splined into input shaft (12). Power from the motor is transmitted through the input shaft to input gear (13) then to planetary cluster gear (5). There are three planetary cluster gears. The planetary cluster gears are meshed with ring gear (7) and internal gear (4) .The ring gear is fastened to cover (10) by bolt (11). This bolt is one of the four shoulder bolts that attaches the cover and the ring gear to hub (2). Eight additional standard bolts (not shown) are also used to attach the cover to the hub.Hub gear (3) is meshed with internal gear (4) and output shaft (1). The output shaft is held in position by locknut (15). Since the planetary cluster gears (5) are rotating and the ring gear (7) is stationary, the following components rotate: internal gear (4), hub gear (3) and output shaft (1). The conveyor chain drive sprocket is attached to the output shaft.Plug (6) is used in order to fill the conveyor planetary with oil for lubricating and cooling.
