Lower the temperature of bearing cups (22) and (23) . Install bearing cups (22) and (23) in housing (1) .
Raise the temperature of bearing cone (30) . Install bearing cone (30) on shaft (25) . Install shim (31) and shims (32) on shaft (25) .
Position shaft (25) in housing (1) . Raise the temperature of bearing cone (29) . Install bearing cone (29) on shaft (25) .
Use Tooling (C) and install nut (26) on shaft (25) . Tighten nut (26) to a torque of 550 N m (405 lb ft).
Check the bearing preload (rolling torque) of shaft (25) . The bearing preload (rolling torque) must be 0.9 0.1 N m (8 1 lb in). If the rolling torque is not correct add shims (32) or remove shims (32) .
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until the correct bearing preload (rolling torque) is obtained.
Install shim (27) on shaft (25) .
Install lip seal (28) in housing (1) .
Install O-ring seal (24) in housing (1) .

Use Tooling (B) and install retaining ring (21) on carrier assembly (4) .

Install O-ring seals (20) in flange (10) .

Use Tooling (B) and install retaining ring (19) on carrier assembly (5) .

Install O-ring seals (18) in flange (12) .

Install lip seal (16) in adapter (7) .
Install ball bearing (14) on coupling (17) . Use Tooling (B) and install retaining ring (15) .
Install ball bearing (14) and coupling (17) in adapter (7) .
Use Tooling (A) and install retaining ring (13) in adapter (7) .

Install spring pins (9) in carrier assembly (4) . Install carrier assembly (4) on housing (1) .
Install flange (10) on spring pins (9) and carrier assembly (4) .
Install spring pins (11) in carrier assembly (5) . Install carrier assembly (5) on flange (10) .
Install flange (12) on spring pins (11) and carrier assembly (5) .
Position adapter (7) on flange (12) and install bolts (6) .
Install plug (8) in housing (1) . Fill the final drive with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Conveyor Planetary Drive (Auger) Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure. The capacity of the final drive is approximately 0.62 L (0.16 US gal). Install plug (2) and breather (3) in housing (1) .End By: Install the final drive planetary (auger conveyor). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive Planetary (Auger Conveyor) - Install".
