2. Remove two bolts and lockwashers (2).3. Remove two nuts and lockwashers (1).4. Remove valve guard (3).5. Put identification marks on lines for correct assembly. 6. Disconnect air line (5) to hand-operated extended brake valve.7. Disconnect air line (6) to front brake control valve.8. Disconnect air line (8) to hand-operated extended brake valve.9. Disconnect air line (4) to external air supply valve.10. Disconnect air line (9) to relay valve.11. Disconnect air line (10) to air tank.12. Disconnect two wires (7) at the pressure sensing unit. 13. Remove cotter pin and pin (12).14. Remove brake pedal (11). 15. Hold brake valve and remove three bolts and lockwashers (14).16. Remove brake valve from below.17. Remove three bolts and lockwashers (13).18. Remove mounting plate (15).19. Install mounting plate (15).20. Install three lockwashers and bolts (13).21. Put brake valve in position under cab floor and install three lockwashers and bolts (14) that hold the brake valve to the mounting plate.22. Install brake pedal (11), pin and cotter pin (12).23. Connect two wires (7) to pressure sensing unit.24. Connect air line (10) from air tank.25. Connect air line (9) from relay valve.26. Connect air line (4) from external air supply valve.27. Connect air line (8) from hand-operated extended brake valve.28. Connect air line (6) from front brake control valve.29. Connect air line (5) from hand-operated extended brake valve.30. Put valve guard (3) in position, install two lockwashers and nuts (1) and two lockwashers and bolts (2).Disassemble Foot-Operated Brake Valve
start by:a) remove foot-operated brake valve
TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Remove retainer (1). 2. Remove piston assembly (2) and spring (3) from brake valve body (4). 3. Remove O-ring seal (8), bolt (6), washer (7), seat (5) and spring (not shown) from piston body (9).
Spring on valve assembly is under compression.
4. Turn the brake valve body over as shown. Remove snap ring (10) with tooling (A). Remove washer (11) and valve assembly (12). 5. Twist valve (17), pull away from seat (13) and assembly will come apart. Remove spring (19), retainer (18) and O-ring seal (not shown) from valve. Remove screw (15), washer (14), diaphragm (16) and spring (not shown) from the seat.6. Check all parts. If damaged, use new parts for replacement.Assemble Foot-Operated Brake Valve
1. Clean all metal parts in nonflammable solvent.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Install spring (6), diaphragm (7), washer and screw (8) into large end of seat (5).3. Install retainer (2), O-ring seal (3) and spring (4) on valve (1). Install the valve into the small end of the seat and push until seat spring (6) holds the valve in the seat. 4. Install O-ring (10) and valve assembly (9) into brake valve body (11). Install washer and then the snap ring with tooling (A)(not shown) to hold valve assembly in brake valve body. 5. Install rubber spring (13), seat (14), washer and bolt (15) in piston body (12). Install O-ring seal (16) on the piston body. 6. Install spring (17) and piston assembly (18) into brake valve body (11). 7. Push down on the piston assembly
