Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep other personnel away from the machine or in sight of the operator.
Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Ensure that the machine is away from any operating machines.
Lower the bucket and/or attachment to the ground.
Turn engine OFF.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON without starting the engine.
Place the switch (hydraulic lockout) in the UNLOCKED position. Cycle the control levers through all positions in order to release the pressure in the implement hydraulic system.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Relieve the pressure in the hydraulic tank. Reference: For additional information about relieving the pressure in the hydraulic system, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install the steering frame lock.
Engage the parking brake. Place blocks in front of the wheels and in back of the wheels. Test Procedure

Connect Tooling (A) to pressure tap (2).
Start the engine and warm the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature.
Raise the lift linkage to the mid-travel position and return the lift control lever to the HOLD position. Turn the engine OFF.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON position without starting the engine.
Lower the lift linkage. Observe the pilot pressure on the pressure gauge during travel. The pilot pressure setting should be 1580 300 kPa (230 45 psi).
If the pressure setting for the pilot pressure is correct, lower the lift linkage to the ground. If the pressure setting for the pilot pressure is not correct, proceed to the adjustment section.
Release the pressure in the implement hydraulic system.
Turn then engine start switch to the OFF position.

The lift linkage is positioned on the ground.
The key start switch is in the OFF position.
The oil pressure is released from the implement hydraulic system.
