Start By:
Remove the rear hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".

Loosen clamps (1), (2), and (3). Reposition tube assembly (5). Disconnect tube assembly (4).

Remove the bolts and disconnect hose assembly (8). Remove the bolts and tube assembly (9). Remove bolts (6) and disconnect tube assembly (7).

Remove bolts (10) and (12). Remove bracket (11).
Loosen clamp (13) and remove tube assembly (14).
Remove bolts (15) and bracket (16).

Remove bolts (21) (not shown). Loosen clamp (20) and reposition tube assembly (19).
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (17). The weight of turbocharger (17) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove nuts (18) and turbocharger (17).

Remove gasket (22). If necessary, remove studs (23). Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Check the condition of the gasket that is used between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold. If the gasket is damaged, use a new part for replacement.

If necessary, install studs (23). Tighten studs (23) to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft). Install gasket (22).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (17). The weight of turbocharger (17) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Position turbocharger (17). Apply Tooling (B) to nuts (18). Install nuts (18). Tighten nuts (18) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (21) (not shown). Position tube assembly (19) and install bolts (21) (not shown). Tighten clamp (20) to a torque of 7.3 0.5 N m (65 4 lb in).

Position bracket (16) and install bolts (15).
Position tube assembly (14) and tighten clamp (13).
Position bracket (11) and install bolts (10) and (12).

Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (6). Connect tube assembly (7) and install bolts (6). Connect hose assembly (8) and install the bolts. Install tube assembly (9) and the bolts.

Position tube assemblies (4) and (5). Tighten clamps (1), (2), and (3). End By:
Install the rear hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
