Stopping Machine
1. Use retarder and service brake to slow and stop the machine. 2. Move transmission control to NEUTRAL and turn neutral lock to ON. 3. Lower bowl, with slight down pressure, and close ejector floor. 4. Move cushion hitch control to LOCKDOWN. 5. Move PARKING/EMERGENCY brake lever to PARK.
If necessary to stop on a grade, block wheels in addition to above.
The emergency/parking brakes, if applied when the brakes are hot from extensive use, may not release when they cool. If brakes have been used extensively, park the machine on level ground, block wheels, and lower bowl with down pressure.Stopping the Engine
1. Operate engine at reduced load for 5 minutes.2. Reduce engine speed to low idle for 30 seconds. 3. Lift toe of accelerator to stop engine. 4. Turn the disconnect switch OFF and remove the key.5. Lock vandalism guards and caps in place. Lock cab doors if leaving the machine.6. Fill fuel tank at end of day to drive out moisture laden air.
