Remove and discard adapter (C), hose assembly (D), adapter assembly (E), and nut (F). Retain all other mounting hardware. Remove and retain plate (G). Retain all other mounting hardware.Remove and retain the cleat and mounting hardware.

Note: Fabrication to plate (G) is optional. A new 480-9003 Plate can be ordered instead.

(AA) 26 mm (1.02 inch) diameter hole Note: The hole in plate (P) can be enlarged, or plate (G) can be replaced with a new 480-9003 Plate.
Enlarge hole "P" in plate (G) to 26 mm (1.02 inch). Note: Ensure that all the adapters and fittings are kept clean from debris or contaminants.Note: All fittings on plate (G) should be assembled should be assembled prior to the installation of plate (G).Installation Procedure

(5) 6V-8996 Union
Secure union (5) to plate (1) (or modified plate (G)) by using bulkhead nut (3) and lockwasher (4). Insert one O-ring seal (2) into each end of union (5).

Secure plate (1) (or modified plate (G)) to the bottom of the cab assembly by using the retained hardware. Secure special connector (6) with O-ring seal (7) to the available steering connection hole.Secure one end of hose assembly (8) with O-ring seal (2) to special connector (6). Secure the other end of hose assembly (8) to union (5).

Secure elbow (10) to union (5). Secure hose assembly (9), with O-ring seal (2), to elbow (10). Secure the other end of hose assembly (9) to the same location the previous hose assembly was removed.Note: Hose assembly (9) will vary based on the machine. Refer to Table 1 for the correct part number based on the machine that is being serviced.
