Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".

Remove bolts (1). Remove pulley (2) .

Remove O-ring seals (4) from cover (3) of the water pump. Remove bolts (5) and the washers. Remove the cover and the gasket from the water pump.

Position the water pump in a press. Use spacer plates to level the water pump.
Use Tooling (A) and a press to remove shaft assembly (7) out of impeller (6). Remove the impeller.

Note: Do not allow the shaft assembly and the hub to fall to the floor when the shaft assembly is removed from the water pump housing.
Continue to push shaft assembly (7) out of water pump seal assembly (8) and the water pump housing.
If necessary, use Tooling (A) and press shaft assembly (7) out of hub (9) .

Reposition the water pump housing in order to remove the water pump seal assembly from the water pump housing.
