1. Remove cushion (1).2. Remove seven bolts (2) that hold cover (3) to the operator's station. Remove the cover. 3. Disconnect six hose assemblies (5) from pilot control valve (4).4. Disconnect electrical connector (6). 5. Remove four bolts (7) from pilot control valve (4).6. Remove pilot control valve (4) from the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the pilot control valve.7. Install the pilot control valve in the reverse order of removal.8. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to the Operation & Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the machine that is being serviced.End by:a. Start by:a. Remove pilot control valve. 1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the pilot control valve prior to disassembly.2. Remove the lever from the pilot control valve.3. Remove two socket head screws (21), washers (20) and plate (19).4. Remove bushing (17) and O-ring seal (16) from the casing.5. Remove actuator plate (12), joint (13) and plate (14) from the casing.
Put identification marks on the two valve assemblies as they are being removed from the body assembly. Also, identify each component of the valve assemblies so they can be reinstalled in their original locations.
6. Disassemble the valve assemblies. Remove spool (10), washer (9), spring (8) or (24), spring (7), seat (6) or (23) and plug (2) from the body assembly. Remove shims (5) from seat (6) or (23). Remove rod (4) or (22) from plug (2). Remove seal (1) and O-ring seal (3) from the plug. The following steps are for the assembly of the pilot control valve.7. Assemble the pilot control valve in the reverse order of disassembly.8. Check the condition of the O-ring seals used in the pilot control valve. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.9. Prior to assembling the valves, make sure all parts of the valves are clean and free of dirt and debris. Put clean hydraulic oil on the internal parts of the valves during assembly.End by:a. Install pilot control valve.
