Personal injury could result from the sudden movement of the blade when the centershift lockpin is released.Before you release the centershift lockpin, make sure that all personnel are clear of the blade. Also, make sure that the circle and the blade are centered under the machine. Position the frame straight and lower the blade to the ground.
This procedure is for the right side of the bank. Position the moldboard to the opposite side for the left side of the bank.

The road bed at the base of the cut must be uniform.

If the material is hard, angle the slope of the road bed slightly into the bank in order to prevent the machine from sliding away from the bank.
Tilt the moldboard forward at a distance of 3/4 of the full forward position or to the full forward position.
Position the link bar so that the centershift lock pin is located at the hole completely to the right. Move the switch for the centershift lock to the ENGAGED position.
Sideshift the moldboard to the right.

Rotate the circle counterclockwise. Lower the left end of the blade while the circle is turning.

Place the heel of the blade at the bottom of the slope. Place the heel of the blade in line with the rear tire's outer edge.

The right rear tires should be in the V shaped ditch at the base of the slope.
Lower the right end of the blade in order to set the desired degree of the bank slope.

Gradually move into the cut.Note: The wheels should normally be near the vertical position.
Lean the wheels toward the slope for a deeper cut.
Lean the wheels away from the slope for a lighter cut.Deliver the material from the slope to the outside of the rear wheels.
