Illustration 1. Side plate dimensions. Two are needed.2. Make one flat end plate 180.0 mm (7.09") × 120.0 mm (4.72") × 5.0 mm (.20") thick. See Illustration 2.
Illustration 2. End plate dimensions.3. Use two 8J4724 Lugs, or make two lugs as shown in Illustration 3.4. Bolt one lug to the inside of each side plate with two S509 Bolts and two 5M2894 Washers. Place the side plates and the end plate as shown in Illustration 4.

Hold the assembled guard and lugs in position on the front end of the scraper bowl as shown in Illustration 6. Tack weld the lugs to the scraper. Remove the bolts and washers from the guard and remove the guard. Weld the lugs to scraper. See Illustration 6.
