Description of Change: Two new coolant flow switches are used on machines equipped with EMS. The new switches have an improved shaft and two additional paddle rivets. These improvements provide longer life in some applications. The new switches are identical except for paddle lengths.Adaptable To: The new 9X3040 Flow Switch Group has a 50 mm (2.0") paddle and replaces the former 6N5284, 6T9315, 8C4794, and 9W2343 Flow Switch Assemblies. The new 9X7088 Flow Switch Group has a 65 mm (2.6") paddle and replaces the former 6N6960, 6T9316, and 8C4795 Flow Switch Assemblies. Applications using the 6N5284 and 6N6960 Flow Switch Assemblies, require a Sure-Seal® connector on the machine harness. This can be accomplished by using the 6V3000 Seal Repair Kit and Special Instruction SEHS9227.
