Start By:
Remove the left side access covers.
Remove the exhaust gas induction valve .
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove clamp (3) and disconnect tube assembly (5). Remove the floor plate from within the cab, if necessary
Remove both tube assemblies (2) and (6) .
Disconnect tube assembly (7) .
Remove elbow (4) and remove fuel manifold (1) .

Typical Example
Remove check valve (8) and remove check valve (9) .

Remove O-ring seals (10) and (11). Remove backup ring (11) from check valve (8) .Installation Procedure
Install the fuel manifold in the reverse order.
Tighten check valve (8) to a torque of 28 3 N m (21 2 lb ft).
