Remove plug (6) from the elevator control valve.
Install the 0 to 28000 kPa (0 to 4000 psi) pressure gauge and hose.

Remove bolts (7). Install the test cover in the oil line connection near the drive end of the hydraulic motor.Note: Use longer bolts through the connection when the cover is in the connection.
Start the engine after the test equipment has been installed.
Run the engine at low idle rpm.
Slowly move the elevator control lever to the forward position. Do not hold the lever in this position for more than 5 seconds. The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting for the elevator relief valve.Note: If necessary, increase the engine rpm, in order to make this pressure test.The correct pressure setting for the relief valve is 17550 950 kPa (2550 140 psi).If the pressure reading is not correct, perform the following adjustments:Note: If the control valve is adjusted by shims, perform Step 7 through Step 9.Note: If the control valve is adjusted by a screw, perform Step 10 through Step 13.

Remove plug (8) from the elevator control valve.
Add shims (9) in order to increase the pressure setting.
Remove shims (9) in order to decrease the pressure setting.Note: One shim will change the pressure setting approximately 345 kPa (50 psi).

Loosen locknut (10) .
Adjust screw (11) clockwise in order to increase pressure.
Adjust screw (11) counterclockwise in order to decrease pressure.
When the adjustment is completed, tighten locknut (10) to 18.0 2.0 N m (160 18 lb in).
