Energy Cell Replacement
Verify that the system is shut down and the EBMS is switched to the OFF position.

Loosen the two cap screws on the left and right sides of the cell and the screws on the adjacent cells. Do not drop the washers or bus bar.

Bus bar screw locations
Remove two cap screws, two Belleville washers, and bus bar. Do not discard the parts. The parts will be used again.

(1) Air Inlet and outlet tubes
(2) Energy cell
(3) Retainer
Slide the retainer (3) out towards you indicated by the red arrows. The process will release the cathode air supply fitting (1) from the cell (2).

Pull up on the cathode air supply fitting (1) to remove the fitting from the cell (2).

Pull up on the ribbon cable connector (5) that is on each cell to disconnect the cable (4) from the cell.Note: Do NOT pull on the ribbon cable (4).
Install the shipping cap on the cell (2).
Slide the retainer (3) in while pressing down on the shipping cap.
Be sure that shipping cap is seated on the cell with retainer (3).

Slide the cell out from the shelf ensuring that the cell is held level while handling.
Install the cells using the reverse procedure for removal.
Install each replacement cell on the appropriate shelf and slide into position.
Connect the ribbon cable connector to the cell.
Remove the Shipping Cap and install the Cathode Air Supply fitting.
Slide the retainer (3) in while pressing down on the shipping cap.
Be sure that the shipping cap is seated on the cell by the retainer (3).Power Cell Replacement

Access panel bolt locations
Loosen the four bolts inside the holes using a 13 mm socket.

Access panel removal
Swing the panel open a few inches, and then slide it to the right. This will allow the panel to detach from the enclosure.Power Cell Replacement
Remove the power module access panel to access the power cell.
Remove one power cell from the shipping box.

(6) Communication wire connection point

Insert the power cell partially into the slot
