1. Remove ten bolts (1) that hold fan guard assemblies (2) in place. Remove fan guard assemblies (2).2. Loosen two bolts (3) and (4) that hold the alternator in place. Push the alternator toward the engine to release tension on the fan belts. 3. Remove four bolts (5) that hold the fan and pulley to the water pump. Remove fan (6) and the pulley from the water pump. The following steps are for installing the fan and pulley.4. Put the pulley and fan (6) in place on the water pump. Install the four bolts that hold the pulley and fan to the water pump.5. Put the fan belts for the alternator in position on the pulleys.6. Make an adjustment to the fan belt. See the topic, Belt Tension Chart in the Specifications Service Manual. Tighten the bolts (3) and (4) that hold the alternator in place.7.
