This Short Block is intended for engines containing the 136-0605 piston and rod group, and uses 100% NEW CRANKSHAFTS to comply with marine society regulations.
Reman Short Blocks expand the repair options available. When used with other Remanufactured products and reusable components from the core engine, short blocks help reduce turnaround time. Reman Short Blocks are fully assembled with the block group, piston and connecting rod groups, and crankshaft assembly.
Core Acceptance
Core acceptance for Caterpillar Remanufactured Short Blocks is simple, visual and requires no special tools. See Core Acceptance Guideline SELD0026 for complete details. All 3126 short blocks are acceptable cores for this offering.
