Pressure air can cause personal injury.When using pressure air for cleaning, wear a protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.The maximum air pressure must be below 205 kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes.
When combining front filter covers and front filters, and side covers and side filters, mate the attachment faces of the filter packings with the mating faces of the cover cleaning unit.
1. Pull the cover knob out and take the front filter cover (1) and front filter (2) out.2. Take out the side filter (4) on both sides of the unit in the same manner as with the front (2) 3. Clean filters and covers using pressure water 280 kPa (40 psi) or less, or compressed air. 4. Assemble front filter (2) into front cover (1), and assemble front filter cover (1) into the unit.5. Push in the cover knob. 6. Install side covers (3) and side filters (4)Electric Fuel Fill Pump (If Equipped)
Clean Strainer
1. Open the door of the tool box, and take the suction hose (2) out of the tool box. 2. Remove the snap ring (3) from the filtration body of the suction hose (2) Remove the strainer (4) 3. Clean the strainer (4) with nonflammable solution and then dry it. 4. Insert the strainer (4) into the suction hose (2) and assemble the snap ring (3).
To prevent hose damage, do not coil the hose in a tight radius.
5. When storing the suction hose (2), coil the suction hose on the support attached to the tool box and fasten the end (filtration body) of the hose on the holder provided on the tool box.6. Close the door of the tool box.Fuel Filter Screen
Clean the Screen
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Turn the disconnect switch OFF, (if equipped) or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
1. Unlatch and raise the engine hood. 2. Unscrew the bolts and spring washers, and remove the engine bottom cover from the swing frame. 3. Release hose clamp (1), and remove hose (2) from elbow (3).4. Insert cork plug into hose (2). Clamp the end of hose (2) with hose clamp (1) to prevent fuel leakage. 5. Separate adaptor (4) from transfer pump (5) and remove screen (6) from adaptor (4).6. Wash screen in nonflammable solvent.7. Insert screen (6) into adaptor (4), and connect adaptor (4) to transfer pump (5).8. Remove cork plug from hose (2) while releasing hose clamp (1)9. Connect hose (2) to elbow (3). Confirm that hose clamp (1) secures hose (2) tightly. 10. Purge air from the
