Removal Procedure
Start By:
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Position the bucket on the ground.

Disconnect hose assembly (1) that supplies oil to the head end of the stick cylinder.

Disconnect hose assembly (7). Remove bolts (4) and pin assembly (3). Remove bolts (5) and pin assembly (6). Remove stick cylinder (2). The weight of stick cylinder (2) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).Disassembly and Assembly Information

(1) Torque for the nut ... 1720 70 N m (1269 52 lb ft) (2) Torque for the head ... 637 63.5 N m (470 47 lb ft) (3) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. (4) Apply Tooling (A) to the groove prior to assembly.Installation Procedure

Install stick cylinder (2). The weight of stick cylinder (2) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Install pin assembly (6) and bolts (5). Install pin assembly (3) and bolts (4). Connect hose assembly (7).
