Remove the flywheel.Note: Refer to Specifications, ""Engine Design"" for non-specified engine torques.
Drain engine oil. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change"for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove bolts (1). Remove flywheel housing (2). Note: Crankshaft rear seal can be removed with flywheel housing on the engine, but there is a possibility of damaging the crankshaft seal surface.

Remove crankshaft rear seal (3). Installation Procedure

Apply a bead of Tooling (A) on outside surface of crankshaft rear seal (3) before installation. Using Tooling (C) install new seal (3) into flywheel housing (2) with lip facing inward, away from the flywheel. Apply Tooling (B) on the lip of seal (3).
Apply Tooling (A) on the mating surface of flywheel housing (2) and the rear of the engine. Align flywheel housing (2) onto the two dowel pins on the rear of the engine. Install bolts (1). End By: Install the flywheel.
