ACTION REQUIRED
Use the following steps to disassemble the harness, inspect for the gasket, and install the gasket if not already in place.
1. Remove the ECM connector cover by removing the four attaching screws.(Image 1 and 2)
2. Remove the connector from the ECM. (Image 3)
3. Remove the lower cover from the connector. (Image 4)
4. Remove clips and pull the conduit from the adapter. (Image 5)
5. Inspect the end of the conduit that engages the adapter for the gasket.
6. If a gasket is in place around the conduit, proceed to Step 10 and reassemble the conduit and connector.
7. If a gasket is not in place, cut across the 3307292/">330-7292 gasket as shown in Image 6.
8. Place a small bead of non-corrosive RTV silicone (8T-0065) on the gasket as shown in Image 7.
9. Assemble the gasket on the conduit.
10. Install the conduit into the adapter with the joint located towards the engine.
11. Install the lower ECM connector cover and install the connector onto the ECM.
12. Install the ECM connector top cover.
