Replace the failed brake cooler. Reference KENR8382 for disassembly and assembly instructions.
Failures rates are application dependant and are higher in heavy retarding, downhill hauling applications. A typical failure is a broken baffle as shown in Image 2 on the front brake oil cooler (1) as shown in Image 1 after 6,000 SMU.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Hold 331-0301 Brake Oil Coolers for 30 days for a possible Parts Return Request (PRR). Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
If a Parts Return Request (PRR) is not issued to you after 30 days through the Send-It-Back process, handle the parts in accordance with your warranty bulletin on warranty parts handling.
