PRODUCT SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR FAILURES OF THE PLANET GEAR SHAFT BEARINGS IN THE FINAL DRIVE GROUPS ON 772B TRACTORS, 773B TRUCKS, 4050, PS4189 U-137 A-61 AU-82 E-59 O-78 This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4189" as Part Number and "7755" as Group Number. Although products in the field should be administered as described above, dealers should purge parts stock immediately. Termination Date
October 31, 1988
Problem
The 8T332 Bearings which are used on the planet gear shafts in the final drives are not giving the desired service life in applications where there are high rim pull loads.

Action Required
Parts Stock Remove all 8T332 Bearing Assemblies from parts stock. Affected Product It is recommended that all the Affected Product be reworked before failure, especially products used in applications where there are high rim pull loads. Remove the existing 8T322 Bearing Assemblies and 8D3899 Washers. Install the new parts. (SEE ILLUSTRATION) WARRANTY ALLOWANCES (SEE ILLUSTRATION)
