Information:
1. Be sure the bores in the lift arm assembly are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to installation of the bearings and lip seals. 2. Use tooling (A) to install the bearings in the frame end pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 3. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (C) to install lip seals (1) in the frame end pin bores. 4. Use tooling (B) to install the bearings in the lift cylinder pin bores. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 5. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (C) to install lip seals (2) in the lift cylinder pin bores. 6. Use tooling (A) to install the bearings in the bucket end of the lift arm assembly. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 7. Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount to the bores before installation. Use tooling (C) to install lip seals (3) in the bucket end of the lift arm assembly. 8. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the outside and inside diameters of all collets before assembly. Put inside collets (4) in position in the front frame as shown. 9. Attach suitable lifting chains and a hoist to the lift arm assembly as shown. The weight of the lift arm assembly is 1722 kg (3797 lb).10. Before installation, coat the bores, the pins and the lip seals with 5P-0960 Lubricant.11. Put the lift arm assembly in position in the front frame and install the rear pivot pins and shims as required. 12. Install bucket control group safety pins (5) in both sides of the lift arm assembly.13. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the outside and inside diameters of all collets before assembly. Install outside collet assemblies (6), on both sides of the front frame.14. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the thread of the bolts that hold the collet assemblies to the pin assemblies. Install bolts (7), washers and nuts in the collet assemblies, on both sides of the front frame. The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other collet when the bolts are tight.15. Tighten the bolt and nut that hold the inside and outside collet assemblies to the frame end pin assemblies, on both sides of the bucket as follows: a. Tighten bolt (7) and the nut evenly to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1330 150 lb ft). After the bolt and nut are tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt and nut is less than 950 N m (700 lb ft).b. Tighten bolt (7) and the nut again to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1300 150 lb ft). Hit the collet on each side again until the torque for the bolt and nut is less than 1600 N m (1180 lb ft).c. Tighten the bolt
