This event occurs when the level of lubricant falls below a specific amount.
E456 (1) Maintenance Due Soon Probable Cause -
Preventive maintenance service is soon due. When service is completed, the service should be marked complete via the secondary display. Instructions are given in the Operation & Maintenance Manual, see section 'Machine Operation – Preventive Maintenance'.
The preventive maintenance service reminder system can be disabled via CAT ET or secondary display.
E457 (1) Maintenance Past Due Probable Cause -

E716 (2) Conflicting Brake Pressure Information Probable Cause -
Mismatch of brake charge pressure sensor readings.
Recommendation -
Monitor brake charge pressure readings in Cat ET and identify the reading that is not reactive to the service brake pedal.
E861 (1) Clock Manual Alignment Required Probable Cause -
The ECM internal clock is also known as an electronic service hour meter. The implement hour meter is too far out of alignment with other ECM hour meters
Event will occur when an ECM has been replaced.
Recommendation -
Use the Cat ET to synchronize the ECM hour meters. At the top menu, click on Service, and Synchronize Service Hour Meters from the drop-down menu. Next, click the Synchronize button to synchronize all the service hour meters on the machine. A pop-up dialog box will inform you of a successful synchronization of each ECM.
E890 (2) Autolube System Cannot Operate Probable Cause -
Autolube system did not observe any "Pressure" during the greasing cycle.
Recommendation -
Refer to Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting , Automatic Lubrication System..
E1248 (1) Front Cross Axle Lock Speed Mismatch Probable Cause -
The values from the front differential speed sensor and the front axle speed sensor do not agree.
Recommendation -
Check the connectors on the wiring harness are going to the correct speed sensor.
E1385 (1) Service Brake Pedal Position Mismatch Probable Cause -
The values from the two service brake pedal sensors do not agree.
Recommendation -
Use the Catto verify the pedal position values.
E1736–2 Brake Temperature High Probable Cause -
