M12 x 1.75 by 5 inches 2 Start By:
Remove the flywheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel - Remove and Install".
Remove the electric starting motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install".

Remove two bolts (3). Install Tooling (B) in the cylinder block.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to flywheel housing (1). The weight of flywheel housing (1) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb).
Remove bolts (2). Remove remaining bolts (3).
Remove bolts (4) (not shown) that fasten the engine oil pan to flywheel housing (1). Remove flywheel housing (1). Installation Procedure

C 1U-8846 Gasket Sealant 1
Apply Tooling (C) to the entire mounting surface of the flywheel housing prior to installation.

Install Tooling (B) in the cylinder block.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to flywheel housing (1). The weight of flywheel housing (1) is approximately 37 kg (82 lb). Position flywheel housing (1) on Tooling (B).
Install bolts (2). Install bolts (3). Remove Tooling (B) and install remaining bolts (3).
Install bolts (4) (not shown) that fasten the engine oil pan to flywheel housing (1). End By:
Install the electric starting motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install".
Install the flywheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel - Remove and Install".
