Remove the turbochargers.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove insulation (1).
Remove three bolts (2) and remove shield (3).

Remove three bolts (4) and remove shield (5).
Remove insulation (6).

Install Tooling (A) and attach a suitable lifting device to the exhaust elbow (7).
Remove nine bolts (8) and remove four bolts (9).

B 4c-5593 Thread Lubricant -
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Apply Tooling (B) to threads and bearing surfaces of all bolts with specified torques.
Inspect all seals and O-rings for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
Install Tooling (A) and attach a suitable lifting device to the exhaust elbow (7).

Position the exhaust elbow (7) and install nine bolts (8).
Install four bolts (9),
Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).

Install insulation (6).
Position shield (5) and install three bolts (4).

Position shield (3) and install bolts (2).
Install insulation (1).
