This Service Letter can be applied once per engine only. An additional $250.00 will be allowed to cover the cost of a Factory Password. This too can only be applied to one claim per engine.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
In order to update the engines with the latest software a new Emissions Label will be required prior to completing the flash file upgrade.
To obtain a new Emissions Label, please follow the next steps depicted below:
1. Using your Internet Browser go to the following URL: https://largepower.cat.com Reference Image1.1.1

2. At the bottom right corner of the home page, click on "LPSD Engineering". Reference Image1.2.1

3. Next, click on "Replacement Labels" depicted on the lower left of the web-browser. Reference Image1.3.1

4. Click on "Flash File Upgrade". Reference Image1.4.1

5. Complete the "Flash File Upgrade" request form accordingly. Please note that it is important to complete all items highlighted with a red asterik.
Reference the Image1.5.1, Image1.5.2, Image1.5.3, Image1.5.4, and Image1.5.5.

6. After receiving the new emissions label, flash the engine with the new software.
7. Remove the existing emissions label.
8. Apply the new emissions label.
A Factory Password is required when completing this flash file upgrade. Please plan the work accordingly with the necessary tools to complete it.
