Dash panel (5) Fuel level gaugeFuel level sensor (4) sends a resistance signal to fuel level buffer (3). The fuel level buffer sends a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal to Engine ECM (2). The Engine ECM sends a signal to Caterpillar Monitoring System (1) via the CAT Data Link. This signal is sent to the gauge module. Fuel level gauge (5) indicates the level of fuel remaining in the tank.
