Lubricate all of the O-ring seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Install O-rings (9) and (10) onto spool (5).

Install spool (5) into the actuator housing. Tighten spool (5) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
Install solenoid (6), washer (7), and nut (8).
Tighten nut (8) to a torque of 20 2.5 N m (177 22 lb in).

Fill the cavity (B) to the halfway mark with Tooling (B). Cavity (B) is found on the valve housing.

Position actuator assembly (3) on valve housing (4). Install bolts (2).
Install temperature sensor (1). Apply Tooling (A) to the threads on temperature sensor (1). Tighten temperature sensor (1) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).End By:
Install the Exhaust Gas Valve.
