Position Tooling (A) under the machine to raise tire and rim (1) off the ground. Position suitable stands under the machine.

If a rear tire is being removed, position Tooling (B) under the machine, as shown.

Remove 59 of the 61 nuts (2) and the washers.

Position a lift truck under tire and rim (1). Use Tooling (C) (not shown) to fasten tire and rim (1) to the lift truck.
Remove the remaining two nuts and washers. Remove the tire and rim. The weight of the tire and rim is 5,260 kg (11,600 lb).

Use Tooling (A) (not shown) to fasten tire and rim (1) to the lift truck. Position tire and rim (1) with a lift truck for installation. The weight of the tire and rim is 5,260 kg (11,600 lb).

The tire and rim assembly can also be installed by using a tire handler, as shown.

Install 2 nuts (2) and the washers.
Remove the lift truck or the tire handler.
Install 59 nuts (2) and the washers.

Install Tooling (B) and torque the 61 nuts in an alternating sequence to 1300 200 N m (960 140 lb ft).
Turn the 61 nuts by an additional 90 5° in an alternating sequence.

Use Tooling (C) or Tooling (D) to raise the machine and remove the suitable stands. Lower tire and rim (1) to the ground, and remove Tooling (C) or Tooling (D).End By:
Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
Disconnect the frame lock link. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Frame Lock Link - Separate and Connect".
