The special instruction provides the information that is needed to update the truck hood group with new bumpers. The new bumpers (1) are 21.0 mm (0.83 inch) high. The former bumpers were 32.0 mm (1.26 inch) high. The new bumpers will eliminate the interference with the passenger door.Adaptable To: Two new 178-2593 Bumpers replaces the two former 4E-1384 Conical Bumpers in the 278-8416 Truck Hood Gp. The new bumpers can be installed separately, or as part of the hood update in the above listed special instruction.The new bumpers are adaptable to machines SSP1-918, RBT1-164, and SND1-131. The new bumpers became effective in production with the machines SSP919-UP, RBT165-UP, and SND132-UP.For a complete list of material, and the correct procedure needed to update the truck hood group, refer to the above listed special instruction.
