Remove bolts (1) and clamp (3) from pony rod (2).
Rotate pinion (7) to reposition pony rod (2). Leave enough space between pony rod (2) and the plunger to remove pony rod seal housing (9).
Remove bolts (6).
Remove seal housing (9) from pony rod (2).
Remove bolts (4) and the washers.
Remove seal (5).
Remove gasket (8).

Install pony rod seal (5) in the reverse order of removal.
Use Tooling (D) to install gasket (8).
Apply Tooling (C) to pony rod seal (5).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (4).
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 47 N m (35 lb ft).
