The "Settings" menu allows the user to adjust parameters for the Advisor display.The need to adjust parameters can be dictated by multiple factors that include the following: operating conditions, individual preferences and operating efficiency . A display of variable parameters are shown. The setup of the machine determines the display of the parameters. The attachments on the machine determine the software versions that are contained in each of the ECM configurations. The Advisor monitoring system looks at the software versions in order to determine the parameters that will be displayed and the parameters that are variable.Note: Cat ET can also be used to access the parameters. Cat ET can also be used to change the parameters. Changing parameters are more easily performed by using the Advisor monitoring system. Changes in access can also be performed by using the Advisor monitoring system.The "Settings" menu option is entered by selecting "Settings" from the "Home Menu". Press the up arrow button or the down arrow button until "Settings" is highlighted in order to select the "Settings" menu. Then press the "OK" button. Refer to Illustration 2.

The "Settings" menu organizes the variable parameters into one category. This category has adjustable parameters. The category is the "Display Setup". The menu options are displayed on the left half of the screen. The user prompts are displayed on the right half of the screen.To make adjustments to the associated parameter, press the up arrow button or the down arrow button until the desired category is highlighted. Then press the "OK" button in order to access the parameter in that category. From this point, follow the prompts on the screen in order to make adjustments to the available parameters. From the "Display Setup" menu, use the appropriate up arrow button or the appropriate down arrow button to highlight the desired parameter. Then press the "OK" button. This will allow access to that parameter's screen. Then follow the prompts on the screen in order to adjust the parameter. All the parameters in this category relate to the operator's preferences in regard to the Advisor display. The following parameters may be adjusted:

"Contrast Adjust"
"Display Units"
"Language"
