Start the engine. Operate the machine until the hydraulic oil reaches normal operating temperature. The axle suspension must be turned off and the load cylinder rods must be fully retracted.
Stop the engine. Relieve the pressure from the accumulator for the axle suspension.Note: The axle suspension must be turned off.
Connect Tool (A) to the test port on the leveling valve for the axle suspension.
Start the engine. Run the engine at low idle.
Observe the pressure gauge. Keep the axle suspension off. The pressure reading should be 16000 345 kPa (2321 50 psi). This is the pressure setting of the pump control valve.

Stop the engine. If the setting of the pump control valve is incorrect, remove cover (3) from the pump control valve.
Loosen locknut (1) and turn adjustment screw (2) clockwise for an increase in the pressure setting. Loosen the locknut and turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise for a decrease in the pressure setting of the pump control valve.
Repeat Steps 4 through 7 until the correct pressure has been obtained.
Tighten locknut (1) to the correct torque. Refer to Specifications, "Piston Pump (Axle Suspension)" for your machine for the correct torque for the locknut.Note: Hold the adjustment screw while you tighten the locknut.
Install cover (3) .
Remove all test equipment.
