(1) Bracket assemblies are used to keep the undercarriage from oscillating about the center pin. To install brackets, first level the main frame on level ground. This step can be checked by measuring the distance between the mainframe and the equalizer bar on both sides of the machine. This distance should be equal. Begin tightening the bolts into the equalizer bar. Keep measuring the distance between the top of the equalizer bar and the main frame in order to maintain an equal distance. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 270 N m (200 lb ft). Keep tightening each bolt until all of the bolts hold the torque of 270 N m (200 lb ft). The measurement from the equalizer bar to the main frame should remain approximately equal.

(2) Apply 4C-5591 Anti-Seize Compound to these surfaces. (3) Install the equalizer bar with the word "Front" toward the front of the machine. (4) Apply 4C-5591 Anti-Seize Compound to these surfaces. (5) Add SAE 90W gear oil through the fitting until the oil covers the surface of the fitting. (6) Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the threads on the eight setscrews. (7) Apply a light coat of oil to the seal inside diameter before installing the pin.
