Install O-ring seals (20), (22) and six O-ring seals (21) to the spindle assembly.

Install spacer (19) and retainer (18) on to the spindle assembly.
Install Duo-Cone seal (17). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo-Cone Conventional Seals - Install".
Install O-ring seal (16) on to retainer (15) .
Install retainer (15) on to the spindle assembly.

Raise the temperature of roller bearing cone (14). Install roller bearing cone (14) within 25 mm (1.0 inch) of spacer (19) .

Install Tooling (J) in order to seat roller bearing cone (14) against spacer (19). Note: Ensure roller bearing cone (14) is fully seated against spacer (19) .
Allow roller bearing cone (14) time to cool before removing Tooling (J) .

Turn the spindle assembly. The weight of the spindle assembly is approximately 190 kg (420 lb).
Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to spindle (11). Install spindle (11) to support housing (13) .
Apply Tooling (F) to the threads of 12 bolts (14) prior to installation.
Install 12 bolts (14) and the hard washers. Tighten bolts (14) evenly to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).

Install the three taperlock studs to housing (5). Tighten the taperlock studs to a torque of 110 20 N m (81 14 lb ft).
Install three special nuts (12) to spindle (11) .
Install spindle (11) to housing (5). The combined weight of spindle (11) and the support housing is approximately 310 kg (685 lb).
Tighten special nuts (12) evenly until tight.Note: Do not reuse bolts (10). Always install new bolts.
Install 18 bolts (10) and the spacers. Tighten 18 bolts (10) to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
Remove one bolt (10) at a time, apply Tooling (G), and then apply Tooling (H) to the threads of one bolt (10). Tighten one bolt (10) to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft) and then turn an additional 60 10 degrees.
Repeat Step 39 for all 18 bolts (10) .

Turn the housing assembly. The weight of the housing assembly is approximately 411 kg (905 lb).
Install 13 outer plates (9) and 13 friction discs (8) in an alternating order. Start with an outer plate and end with a friction disc. Dip each friction disc in clean braking system oil prior to installing.

Install damper assembly (6) .Note: Install damper assembly (6) with the facing material away from the friction discs and the outer plates.
Install O-ring seal (7) .

Connect an external oil supply to parking brake supply port (P). Disengage the parking brake by applying oil pressure of 3790 kPa (550 psi) to parking brake supply port (P) .Note: Do not exceed 3790 kPa (550 psi) as damage to components may occur.Note: The parking brake supply port can be identified by the letter "P" stamped into the casting.
