(1) Relief valveFirst, remove relief valve (1) from the main control valve. See Illustration 1.Then, install the new relief valve into the main control valve. Tighten the new relief valve to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).Valve Adjustment

(1) Relief valve (2) Valve body (3) Locknut (4) Adjusting nutIn order to adjust the relief valve pressure, hold the valve body (2) in position and loosen locknut (3). Then hold the adjusting nut (4) stationary and loosen locknut (3) toward adjusting nut (4). Turn adjusting nut (4) into the valve body in order to increase the relief pressure. Turn adjusting nut (4) out of the valve body in order to decrease the relief pressure.Note: Relief valve pressure should always be set on the rise.After you set the relief valve (1) to the desired relief pressure, hold adjusting nut (4) in place and secure locknut (3) against the valve base.
