(2) Remove .602" (15.3) of material, dimension (A), from 5J2613 Axle Bracket (1). Use the dimension shown to mark the location for hole (B). Drill hole (B) to a diameter of .250", +.006" -.003" (6.4, +0.15 -0.08) .47" (12) deep. Use a grinder to remove the 5J2613 part number, then use metal stamps to put on the part number 6G5202. (3) Remove any burrs (rough, sharp edges) from the bearing area of axle shaft (2). Install axle shaft (2) in bracket (1). Install the 1J2863 Washer and the 2A1538 Bolts (3) with lockwashers. Tighten all bolts (3) to a torque of 265 35 lb.ft. (360 45). (4) Install brake shoes (4) and all other parts that were removed from axle bracket (1). Be sure to use lockwire (5) for bolts (6). (5) Install 9M6803 Dowel (7) in 6G2193 Retainer (8). Put lubricant on 5F149 Seal (9) and put it on axle shaft (2) far enough, so it is next to bracket (1) as shown. Put 6G2193 Retainer (8) on axle shaft (2). Dowel (7) goes in hole (B) of bracket (1), and seal (9) fits in the counterbore as shown. Use 2S8027 Seal Installer (10) to install one-half of the 5K1078 Duo-Cone Seal Group (11) in retainer (8). At installation of a Duo-Cone seal, the rubber seal and the surface that makes contact with the seal must be clean and dry. (6) Put the wheel in a vertical position so the bolt holes in face (C) are in the approximate position shown. Use a micrometer to check the size of the bore for each wheel bearing cup. Clean the bore if necessary before the measurement is made. The correct dimension for the bearing cup bore is 7.498" .0014" (190.45 0.035). Remove grease fitting (12) and install a 5M6214 Plug. (7) Thoroughly clean face (C) on the outside of the wheel, and clean all grease from the inside of the bearing bore. Install a 3F5920 Bearing Cup (13) in the front and rear bores of the wheel. Be sure the bearing cups are all the way in the bore, as far as they will go. (8) On the brake drum side of the wheel, install 5P6456 Bearing Cone (14). Put 5S4554 Seal (15) on 6G2191 Retainer (16). Put lubrication on seal (15) and install retainer (16). Use a soft hammer as shown, if necessary, to put the retainer in position. (9) Use 2S8027 Seal Installer (10) to install the other half of the 5K1078 Duo-Cone Seal Group in retainer (16). At installation of a Duo-Cone seal, the rubber seal and the surface that makes contact with the seal must be clean and dry. (10) Put clean oil on the contact surface of the metal seals. Connect a hoist to bracket (1) and put axle (2) in position all the way in the wheel as shown. Install 4M1552 Bearing Cone (17) in position as shown and put 3S6252 Sealant on face (C) of the
